Empire Distributor's, Inc. A Leading Beverage Distributor is now hiring for a Collections Coordinator in Asheville, NC. Summary Receives and records driver receivables on a daily basis. Documents all deliveries made without check or cash receipts. Totals payments, verifies receipts and stores printouts by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Receives, records, and verifies daily receipts from drivers. Receives, records and verifies daily check deposits from drivers and completes manifests. Scans checks to bank and creates and sends check deposits. Verifies and copies grocery store printouts. Analyzes and researches causes to "short pays". Explains results of any "short pay" to the responsible driver. Documents all re-routes on the appropriate form and ensures all drivers have notified the appropriate sales person. Produces reports summarizing daily activities and shortages. Documents uncollected checks by driver stop. Files documents and deposits account summaries in to secured safe. Dialogues and summarizes accounts with drivers. Assists with related special projects, as required. Assists in other duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
