Overall Purpose

The Director, Near Field Communication (NFC) Product is a strategic thinker who applies their deep understanding of NFC technology, market trends, and user needs to lead the NFC strategy and implementation. This role is instrumental in driving the adoption and seamless integration of NFC technology across EWS products and platforms, creating innovative and user-centric experiences.

Essential Functions

  • Strategy & Vision: Develops and champions the overall NFC product strategy, aligning with the company's broader product vision and business objectives. Identifies market opportunities and emerging trends in NFC technology and its applications.

  • Roadmap & Execution: Defines and manages the product roadmap for NFC features and functionalities, prioritizing initiatives based on market analysis, user feedback, and business impact. Oversees the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization.

  • Market Analysis: Conducts thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and potential partnerships. Stays up to date on the latest advancements in NFC technology and its applications.

  • Product Development: Collaborates closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure seamless product development and launch. Leads cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality NFC solutions.

  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicates the NFC product strategy and roadmap to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, engineering teams, marketing, sales, and partners. Buildstrong relationships with key stakeholders.

  • User Experience: Champions a user-centric approach to NFC product development, ensuring that features and functionalities are intuitive, easy to use, and deliver a compelling user experience. Gathers and analyzes user feedback to continuously improve the product.

  • Performance Measurement: Defines and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of NFC products and initiatives. Analyzes data and identifies areas for improvement.

  • Budget Management: Manages the budget allocated to NFC product development and related activities.

  • Team Leadership (if applicable): Leads and mentors a team of product managers or other direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance.

  • Risk Management: Supports the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree.

  • 10 or more years of NFC related work experience.

  • Demonstrated experience in design thinking and agile development process and methodology.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and cross functional collaboration experience.

  • Proven experience and passion for building and delivering great products.

  • Demonstrated experience in setting a product strategy, roadmap and in meeting product revenue targets.

  • Demonstrated experience driving alignment at the executive and client leadership level.

  • Excellent listening and execution skills.

  • Background and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree.

  • Certifications in design thinking and/or agile.

  • Prior experience working in payments, financial services or similar regulated industry.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The base pay scale for this position in:

New York, NY in USD per year is: $220,000 - $250,000.

The pay scale will vary for Remote depending upon geographic location.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
