Description

We are hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate with a diverse cross-functional team as we source, plan, make, and deliver custom product.

Who You Are:

You are a creative problem solver, with experience in various manufacturing capabilities. Beyond technical abilities, you have a bias for action, an ability to embrace ambiguity, and approach problems with questions before answers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of manufacturing experience or military equivalent experience
  • Technical training or proven track record
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Steelcase will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

Desired Skills and Experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Lean experience, training, or certification
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills are essential
  • Recognize problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop Subscale people and processes in the manufacturing plant.
  • Coordinate product implementation with a cross-functional team to ensure flawless execution
  • Coordinate quote requests and return to the development team
  • Develop improvements and innovations to enhance business and manufacturing performance
