Product Coordinator:

Responsible for supporting the District Commercial Manager (DCM) for sales interface administration between suppliers, operations and customer service. Supports DCM to complete the sales growth of the district. Acts as link between sales, MPU and operations, when necessary. Overall duties will be defined by the needs of the DCM and will be in support of any business segment as deemed appropriate by the DCM.

What You'll Do:

Assist in the evaluation of new business opportunities that need interface between operations and regulatory

  • Supports DCM to determine business potential based on opportunity.
  • Works opportunities through Operations/Regulatory team through to completion and track progress in SFDC.

Review/support pricing for new product and service opportunities

  • Prepares proposal for Sales Manager and Sales team to implement.

Cost management and CUPS

  • Oversees cost support request with suppliers.
  • Reviews suppliers and products under support in order to negotiate for different into stock pricing.
  • Identifies poor performing product families; drives activity to work on lower price with the MPU.
  • Assess logistical network to improve netbacks for specific customer moves.

Pricing Management

  • Review product mix, profitability on district basis making recommendations to implement strategy to improve profitability.

Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)

  • Backup to DCM for Sales in S&OP process.

Assists with Contract / Proposal preparation

  • Customer rebate contracts
  • Single Product Contracts
  • New and ongoing business contracts
  • Contract administration and filing Corporate Account Bid preparation
  • Provide district pricing for corporate accounts
  • Negotiates CUPS cost base if necessary from producers

Additional Essential Activities

  • Aged Inventory - run bi-weekly reports,send emails to SMs & AMs,work withbuyers, operations, etc.
  • Investigate Low GM sales - cost, CUPS, freight, 3rd party loads, etc.
  • Investigate PO variances from daily reports - work withbuyers, request error corrections
  • Communicate PO cost changes to CI & 6V bulk buyers to update open APOs in UVX
  • Corporate bids - populate UVX codes, cost, freight, etc.
  • Update Cost books for 3rd party items
  • Investigate Freight issues & costs
  • Complete MM & Supplier CUPS forms
  • Assist in working on UMAX items withcost, CUPS, freight, etc.
  • Contact Suppliers for CUPS requests

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Broad knowledge of chemical distribution - sales, marketing, financial, procurement.
  • Substantial and varied field experience necessary.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of Univar Solutions service offerings
  • Strong PC skills including: Excel, Outlook, CRM, UVX, Information Warehouse, etc.
