Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Supervise the extrusion processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, efficient manner. Contributes to projects to meet site goals and objectives.
  • Conduct training sessions for new and existing Production and Operational staff.
  • Create training curriculums, and learning materials and ensure optimum learning for employees.
  • Develop product knowledge and expertise for Operators and staff.
  • Coordinate with other engineers to discuss and solve quality issues.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot problems that arise with processes, machinery, and operations.
  • Analyze all facets of production and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Keep abreast of relevant emerging technologies and equipment solutions to proactively introduce improvement ideas.
  • Support R&D scale-up processes on manufacturing scale equipment and commercialization of new products as it relates to operator training.
  • Ensure all production equipment and processes comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Keep abreast of advancements in engineering and production and share knowledge with co-workers.
  • Must be willing to be flexible and rotate between shifts in the operation based on business needs.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

        Qualifications

        Required Education & Skillsets:
        • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science or equivalent experience.
        • 7 years of experience in a process engineering role in a multiline manufacturing environment is required.
        • Ability to work in a 24/7 manufacturing process environment.
        • Lean/6-Sigma Green Belt skill level
        • Demonstrated mastery of extrusion segment processes.
        • Demonstrated ability to analyze data using Excel and statistical software tools.
        • Ability to draw from a variety of disciplines, industries, and technologies to deliver an end-to-end capital justified innovative solutions.
        • Ability to travel up to 10%

        Preferred Education & Skillsets:
        • Experience in polymer extrusion, web handling, slitting, and winding of rolled films.

        The annual salary range for this position is $115,000.00-$125,000.00. This role is also short-term incentive plan eligible.
