Job Title:Quality Systems Manager Location:Multiple Position Overview:Bollinger is seeking a dedicated Quality Systems Manager who will manage, coordinate, and support the Company's Quality Management System, including ISO 9001 certification, and overseeing Company policies/procedures to promote continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Manages the Operations Support Quality Systems group and facilitates risk analysis, problem solving, and process improvement projects throughout the Company within its various facilities.
- Assists in the development, revision, and monitoring of overall Company procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure continued compliance.
- Assists in management of the Company's quality assurance and control programs.
- Manages audits in various aspects of the Company's Quality Systems group and facilities.
- Knowledgeable of continuous improvement methodologies used within the facilities.
- Able to complete statistical methods, structured root cause analysis and problem-solving methods; prepare operational and risk opportunity assessments; and monitor/measure/analyze/continuously improve metrics of the quality management system.
- Able to collaborate with cross-functional teams, demonstrating flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong desire to achieve Company and project success.
- Manages the training program for the entire organization.
- Manages the Preventive Maintenance Computer Program for the organization.
- Able to source, develop, and manage grant proposals.
- Other duties assigned or requested by Management.
- Able to travel to multiple Company locations in Louisiana and Mississippi.
- Welding manufacturing process experience preferred.
Experience:
- Ten (10) years of Quality Management System experience in shipbuilding, manufacturing or similar setting with a bachelor's degree required. Engineering or Business-related degree preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in quality assurance principles, practices, and procedures.
- Knowledgeable in utilizing risk assessment and opportunity processes.
- Outstanding leader and motivator with effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical in addition to human relations and management skills.
