Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $111,100.00/Yr. - USD $185,100.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.


Description

SRC is searching for a Senior-level Space Advisor to support Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific and the greater Navy Space Cadre community. Specific to this effort, the Space Systems/Capability Portfolio provides specialized space technical expertise to the Navy and broader space domain awareness (SDA) community. This program has ongoing requirements for systems engineering, acquisition, and space subject matter expertise to support the Navy's new Maritime Space Officer (MSO) and greater Navy Space Cadre community, while also providing technical input for specialized software development and delivery to deliver a suite of space tools (both on SIPRnet and JWICS) to fulfill the Navy MSO functional needs. Due to the unique program requirements and complexity of the operations, this program requires subject matter experts (SMEs) with significant knowledge and experience in the area of Navy operations, space operations, and DoD/IC space acquisitions. Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) will be conducted at the government's facilities in San Diego, CA. Duties & Responsibilities include:

    Advising NIWC Pacific, NAVWAR, and MSO community regarding Space Tools
  • Coordinating with external agencies including U.S. Navy, Space Systems Command, AFRL, DIU
  • Providing demonstrations for Space Tools to Government customers
  • Trave to Maritime Operations Centers (MOC), COMCOM Headquarters, and MSOs to support Navy-specific Space Tools

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience with Military Systems for C4ISR and aggregation of space-based data for Space Tools (e.g. Navy Intelligence Specialist) implementation
  • Experience providing Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) support for space missions
  • 3 or more years of experience with curriculum development for Department of Defense (DoD) courses within a formal schoolhouse (e.g. Information Warfare Training Command)


Desired Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Space Tools including Space Defense Characterization Control System (SDCCS), BOHDI, ISSA, SpaceDesk, Spectra, Space Sentry, MASE, and FADE / MIST
  • Experience working at the National Space Defense Center (NSDC) or Combined Space Operations Center (CSpOC)
  • Experience with formal presentations / briefing using Microsoft PowerPoint in from of senior level leaders (Flag Officer/General Officer/Senior Executive Service).
  • Exceptional organizational, verbal and written skills


Clearance Information

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
