The Seagate NRM Facilities team supports Seagate's Wafer Operations in our Bloomington, MN Site - a 700,000 square foot, highly technical facility with factory that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are searching for a Director to lead and manage the high functioning Facilities team. This is an ON-SITE position at our Normandale campus that spans two suburbs, Edina, and Bloomington: Twin Cities / Minneapolis area.
About the role - you will:
- The Director of Facilities role encompasses responsibilities to lead the facilities engineering team, including oversight of a significant fab construction project, knowledge and support of EH&S, Fire Life Safety, and building regulations, management of a skilled maintenance team, budget oversight, and fostering a culture of engagement and growth for the team.
- Direct reports to this position include an engineering manager, maintenance technician managers, and key principal engineering resource.
- Direct and oversee activities of the engineering team, including projects on new tool installations, new site projects, site maintenance, project planning, and budgeting.
- Support, oversee, and track activities related to a Building Management System upgrade and a cleanroom fab expansion through regular project meetings and updates to management.
- Direct and oversee activities of a highly skilled team of craftsman technicians in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and water management that support the site 24x7x365. Ensure project and PM completion, quality of work, budget, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and collaborate with external contractor organizations to ensure safety, work completion, and budget adherence.
- Ensure site compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Interface regularly with site insurance providers to ensure appropriate risk management. Support and participate in all ISO audits or related certifications to ensure site compliance. Ensure training programs are rolled out and tracked for key knowledge.
- Collaborate actively with our EH&S team to ensure compliance and exemplary site emergency response. A high level of collaboration is also required with our operations and fab equipment teams to ensure uninterrupted operation of our 24x7 fabs.
- Liaise regularly with finance and commodities management teams to develop and maintain budgets and ensure supply of spare parts and consumables.
- Set goals aligned to corporate deliverables with team input, clearly communicate goals and attainment through the year. Be able to make clear decisions, manage priorities, communicate to the team and upper management, and take responsibility for decisions and team performance.
- Actively support the team in ensuring morale and engagement of team members at all levels11. Support team development and growth through hiring and opportunities for training, upskilling, and certifications. Foster a positive and productive work environment through respect and regular communication.
About you:
- You are self-motivated, able to work independently and have a strong attention to detail.

- You are able to co-ordinate and build professional cross-functional relationships between other Engineering and Manufacturing teams on Site.

Your experience includes:
- Minumum of 10 years in Facilities and/or Manufacturing Operations in a Manufacturing Facility
- Minimum of5 years in a people management role including engineers, technicians, and skilled crafts.
- Knowledge of fire life safety, environmental, and building code regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field (higher degrees holders can apply also)
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large-scale projects in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with semiconductor fab facilities or equipment would be beneficial.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $141,481.60 - $210,107.04 The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
