AutoCAD Designer II/III

Valkyrie Enterprises has a need for an AutoCAD Designer II/III in Virginia Beach, VA.
This position is to provide drafting and design drawing support for modernization and upgrade initiatives for Navy Ship Self Defense Systems (SSDS).
This is a Part-Time position.

Job Description:

Update various engineering drawings per ASME drawing standards.
Utilize government provided redline drawings and/or other changes to update technical data packages (TDPs) and drawings for final release.
Provide quality control checks on various TDPs.
Update and maintain drawing tracking databases.
Support onsite drawing activities at Dam Neck Annex Base.

Qualifications:

Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel).
Must have experience working with AutoCAD and Inventor software.

Desired Qualifications:

Certification from an accredited Technical School in the Drafting/Design field, preferred.
Experience with Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), preferred.
Experience working on Dam Neck Annex Base, preferred.
Three plus years of experience with naval systems and/or SSDS, preferred.

Security Requirements:

Must have an Active DoD Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance.
Must maintain clearance eligibility to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.

Travel Requirements:

10% or less travel.
If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in an office, industrial, or shipboard environment.
Be able to lift and move materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one-man lift.
Must be able to perform site surveys and carry a laptop computer.
