Location:Gulf Coast Medical Center -13681 Doctor's WayFort Myers FL 33912 Department: Lab - Histology Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 3/1:00:00 AM to 9:30:00 AM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$25.57 - $31.96 / hour Summary4+ years as an ASCP Histotechnician/Histotechnologist is preferred / Immunohistochemistry experience preferred. The individual in this position will perform all routine histopathology functions, as well as complex immunohistochemistry tasks as follows: -Validate and prepare solutions for all IHC procedures -Obtain and validate control materials used in IHC procedures -Perform IHC testing (Leica Bond III) and quality control checks on all outgoing slides -Maintain Leica Bond III instrument(s) -Maintain and operate Leica Peloris Processor -Maintain and Operate DAKO Artisan Link Pro -Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment while maintaining production and quality standards.
Two to four years of formal education or training beyond high school and associate degree, bachelor degree, or certificate in laboratory science from an accredited institution. Experience may be substituted for education as described by State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Personnel Statutes. Education/ training qualifications to perform non-physician gross examinations as described in the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Anatomic Pathology Checklist requirement ANP.11610 and CLIA regulations required.
