The Senior Content Strategist produces, coordinates, and executes content plans for predominantly FIU Alumni, but may also be involved in FIU Foundation, individual college units, and Donor Relations. They develop and write content relating to strategic initiatives based on the FIU Alumni content pillars and objectives. Responsible for coordinating and assisting in the planning and development of the editorial calendar for all divisional programs. They will be called to organize, develop, and write articles, email, social posts, and at times copy for marketing materials as needed. Demonstrates responsibility for hearing the voice of the user: takes into account all of the various inputs and transforms it into an optimal content plan. Influences stakeholders to optimize digital content. Assesses, reviews, and approves digital content. Manages the flow of content and production schedules/deadlines. Supports the development of digital and print content. Adheres to and maintains content standards and quality. Addresses online writing best practices. Works and collaborates with content at many levels (information architecture, style guides, templates, and analytics). Works closely with designers, business analysts, and developers to develop content requirements for existing and proposed content elements. Leads participatory design/user testing sessions and presents findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and senior level clients. Interprets educational media/communication administrative rules and policies and recommends new and improved programs and/or technologies to effectively manage educational media/communication administration. May supervise lower level staff. Performs other related duties as assigned or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience working in digital design/publication agency environments as content strategist, copywriter, or an editorial related field. Desired Qualifications
Experience in web and social media communication practices. Proficient in editing and writing stories. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Media/Public Relations, Communications, or appropriate degree. Understanding of basic data and metric principles such as Meta descriptions, tagging, GA4, etc. Job Category
