POSITION SUMMARY: Crow's Bench is Schweitzer's newest restaurant. Centered around farm to table alpine cuisine Schweitzer Mountain, where we make our food from scratch, if you have a passion for global cuisine and a love for learning, this is the job for you. Full time and part time positions available. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for food preparation and presentation. Work in close liaison with chef. Duties include food handling, storage, rotation, processing and presentation. Must have fundamental knowledge of line cooking and health code. Must be willing to work as a team. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: SKILLS: Food preparation, Recipe development EDUCATION: English reading, writing and communication, basic math EXPERIENCE: Restaurant kitchen experience. LICENSE NEEDED: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Combined standing/walking position for up to 8 hours per shift. Will stand in place for up to 30 minutes. Will get breaks as available. Will lift up to 25lbs frequently, up to 50lbs occasionally. Will bend, squat, kneel, climb, twist, and reach above shoulder level on a frequent basis; will use hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Worksite is 100% inside and be exposed to fumes, odors, mechanical and burn hazards. All sensory skills needed. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES: Must become knowledgeable of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, services and activities. Responsibilities are listed as guidelines and the position is not necessarily limited to these items . MACHINES/TOOLS OPERATED: Ovens, processors, basic kitchen tools-knives, dish machine.
