About the Role

Impact you will make

The purpose of the Technical Support Engineer position is to provide highly technical assistance directly to clients and assist in the development of processes, tools, reports and applications that will support the Product Support department in meeting its goals and objectives. This role offers the opportunity to directly interact with customers and collaborate with domestic and global teams. The ideal candidate will be an expert troubleshooter with strong knowledge of Microsoft TSQL, C++, C#, and ASP.NET, and be able to suggest innovative solutions to complex problems. The position requires a firm grasp of relational databases and fundamentals of systems software design. In addition, the individual must be a self-starter with good communication and documentation skills.

What you will do



  • Provide high quality, timely responses to customer inquiries and application issues
  • Triage high profile production issues and recommend and\or execute a course of action for resolution
  • Debug issues in a variety of environments, including C++, C#, XML, .NET, and SQL
  • Facilitate effective team interaction and leverages the skills within the team to maximize success
  • Partner with internal clients to resolve client issues as efficiently as possible
  • Utilize time management and organizational skills to manage an ever-changing volume and set of priorities and tasks
  • Deliver the highest quality support for FinThrive products, with a focus on client success and satisfaction



What you will bring



  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of software development experience developing Web/Windows applications in C++, C#, SQL, ASP, .NET
  • Working experience with XML/JSON
  • Experience with SQL Server Enterprise Manager, SQL Server Management Studio, Query Analyzer, or similar tools
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving skills, both technically and at the application level
  • Troubleshooting and analytic skills above to include OOP and SQL experience
  • Demonstrate strategic problem solving and advanced analytical skills
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate with others, including customers, in a clear, understandable, and professional manner on the phone, via email and in person via use of good written (i.e., good grammar/spelling) and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with great attention to detail
  • Highly self-reliant and motivated to take ownership of tasks through completion with little supervision
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output
  • Solid knowledge of all MS Office Products
