This is a combined role based out of our Norfolk Service Center. When working from the base location,
the position will be an integral part of the facility maintenance team or potentially the fabrication shop,
depending on the specific site. This role will involve a high amount of travel to other Veolia Service Centers, primarily within the same
region (South/West/Central or East/North/Central) to support facility expansion or upgrade projects, and
occasionally to visit customer sites. While working at other locations the primary function of this role
will be to lead the on-site execution teams for Veolia's facility capital projects. This is a multi-faceted position that will require a blend of facility management, project leadership, and
hands-on technical skills to support the growth of our services operations. Key Characteristics
- Travel to Veolia facilities to lead on-site installation of CAPEX projects
- Provides leadership & instills best EHS standards for the site teams
- Basic on-site project management - material control & receiving, on-site spot engineering
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages on-site team daily/weekly work tasks and schedule
- Works in partnership with CAPEX project manager & maintains clear communication to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Assists on-site teams with basic installation and machinery troubleshooting
- Read and redline engineering drawings and P&ID's
- Works in partnership with project engineering team
- Ability to support mechanical or electrical or other physical installation activities
- Set and follows good installation housekeeping practices
- Is available on-call for emergency needs to maintain project install schedule
- Maintains records and reports as required or needed for install
- Works according to the Plant or facility maintenance leader directions
- Demonstrates excellent EHS standards and follows policies/procedure in order to keepself and others injury free
- Assists team members when needed with machinery, repairs and installation troubleshooting
- Install new equipment or re-arranges existing equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance activities at the facility or within the 'Mobile' fleet
- Ability to act as a resource for training or maintenance operations when needed
- Perform building and ground maintenance

Required:
- HS Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to HS Diploma
- Minimum of 1 year of PVC plumbing, OR mechanical repair and maintenance work experience or training
- Project management skills
- Computer proficient
- Mechanical and/or electrical proficiency
- Ability to apply to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram form and
- able to read a P&ID
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards
- Problem solving skills with reliable and thorough approach to work
- Perform confined space entry in small tanks with 14x18" manways
- Has experience running schedule 80 PVC pipe
Preferred:
- Associate's degree in electrical, industrial / mechanical, engineering, or water treatment disciplines
- Basic leadership traits andskills
- At least 5 years of install, repair and maintenance work experience
- Basic electronic troubleshooting, PLC programming & 480V 3-phase electrical repair
- Experience running Schedule 80 PVC pipe (2" to 8")
- Trade school experience for plumbing, carpentry, and/or mechanical repair is highly
- desired
- Positive displacements pump repair experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
