Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Space Operations Analyst with extensive experience in highly classified space programs and operational command and control of space systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Agile processes and implementation for large-scale software and hardware programs, with a focus on user/operator engagement and comprehensive user experience design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in operational workflow design, agile user persona management, and user journey development for space operations.
  • Implement Agile processes and methodologies for large-scale software and hardware programs, emphasizing user/operator engagement and comprehensive user experience design.
  • Apply agile product ownership principles and best practices to guide effective software development and ensure alignment with operational needs.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Space Force command and control infrastructure and platforms, ensuring effective integration and operation.
  • Work directly with Space Force operators to understand their needs and translate them into actionable requirements for software and hardware development.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership, stakeholders, development teams, and operational communities to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Support the development and deployment of space systems, ensuring they meet operational requirements and enhance mission effectiveness.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior analysts and other team members as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Extensive Experience working highly classified space programs
  • Extensive Operational Experience with command and control of space systems
  • Experience in Agile processes and implementation for large scale software and hardware programs with an emphasis on user/operator engagement and comprehensive user experience design
  • Expertise in operational workflow design, agile user persona management and user journey development
  • Expertise in agile product ownership principles and best practices for guiding effective software development
  • In depth knowledge of space force command and control infrastructure and platforms
  • Experience working directly with Space Force operators
  • Effective communication with leadership, stakeholders, development, and operational communities

Desired:

  • Highly Desired: past or present experience with SSC or mission partner space control or space situational awareness mission area programs

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science along with a minimum 14 years of relevant experience
  • or a Master's degree along with a minimum 12 years of relevant experience
  • or a PhD with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret, SCI eligible.
  • Eligibility for access to SAP Information.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

Location/Travel Requirements:

  • Place of work is El Segundo, CA or Colorado Spring, COS
  • May require travel up to 10% of time within the continental United States.

The pay range for this position is $180,000/year to $260,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job- related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
