Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist with expertise in Federal, DoD, Air Force, and Space Systems Command (SSC) contracting processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to assist government personnel with all aspects of contract actions required by the program office, including but not limited to solicitations, change proposals, funding modifications, and award or incentive fee management. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance on Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting processes and procedures.
- Assist government personnel with the preparation and execution of solicitations, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Manage change proposals, including evaluation, negotiation, and implementation of contract modifications.
- Oversee funding modifications, ensuring accurate and timely adjustments to contract funding.
- Administer award and incentive fee management, including tracking performance metrics and coordinating with relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with program office personnel to ensure contract actions align with program objectives and requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all contract actions and decisions.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior contract specialists and other team members as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Expert in Federal, DoD, Air Force, and SSC contracting processes and procedures
- Demonstrates ability to assist gov with all aspects of any contract action required by the program office, including but not limited to solicitations, change proposals, funding modifications and award, or incentive fee management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired:
- Prior PCO or buyer experience preferred
- Highly Desired: past or present experience with SSC or mission partner space control or space situational awareness mission area programs
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science along with a minimum 14 years of relevant experience
- or a Master's degree along with a minimum 12 years of relevant experience
- or a PhD with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret, SCI eligible.
- Eligibility for access to SAP Information.
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Location/Travel Requirements:
- Place of work is El Segundo, CA or Colorado Springs, CO
- May require travel up to 10% of time within the continental United States.
The pay range for this position is $150,000/year to $210,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract wages, job- related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
