If you're a Manager Strategic Sourcing -Raw Materials Secondary Processing, we have an exciting opportunity for you The role is accountable for all aspects of sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract management. The role is also responsible for all aspects of supplier development and project management in the category.
What You Will Be Doing
- Provides required leadership, direction, coaching, mentoring, and performance management to the members of the raw materials category team
- Provides leadership for establishing, communicating, and achieving alignment of category strategies with Business Group goals and objectives while maintaining focus on corporate level goals and major technology trends in the industry
- Provides direction to other Category Managers and other supply chain resources in developing long range plans, setting priorities, and execution of activities to achieve desired results
- Leads and ensures alignment and conformance to Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Company policies, procedures, and practices - and coordinates with other commodities.
- Understands and uses advanced market indicators (forecast of indices, labor, geopolitical, emerging markets, technologies, etc.) and ensures integration into strategies
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative supplier strategies aimed at the development of a long-term viable supply base
- Directs the development of financial impact (productivity, etc.) to business segments for integration of annual profit planning, on-going annualized forecast, and LRP
- Accountable for execution of plans to fulfill financial commitments to the business groups
- Accountable for developing and managing key supplier relationships to realize mutually beneficial win-win outcome
What We Are Looking For
- US - master's degree in arts/sciences (MA/MS) Preferred.
- US - bachelor's degree in arts/sciences (BA/BS) Required.
- 5+ years' Experience of leadership work required.10+ years' Experience of related work required.
- 5+ years' Experience of sourcing work in a global setting required.
- Purchasing (CPM, CPI, APICS, etc.) and project management certifications preferred.
- Understanding of global commercial and economical markets, supply base, and geopolitical situations, and technologies
- Ability to effectively communicate at the enterprise and executive levels, written and verbal inside and outside the company.
- Capable of communicating effectively with multi-cultural groups within their cultural landscape
- Ability to effectively think and communicate creative and innovative future states with a 5-10-year planning horizon.
- Proven ability to diffuse difficult negotiation (internal, supplier, or both) situations and drive to solutions.
- Proven ability to lead groups (internal and external) through difficult situations - drive consensus to maximize support and results.
