Staffmark is collaborating with a leading aerospace and industrial manufacturer to recruit a Principal Engineer for a role in Corona, CA. If you are an experienced engineer with a strong background in aerospace, supplier management, and quality systems, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Salary: $125K-$145K, based on experience

Shift: 1st Shift (specific days and rotating schedule to be confirmed)

As a Principal Engineer, you'll lead technical proposals, assess feasibility, and collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers. You'll mentor the engineering team, oversee technical reviews, and approve documentation through the Change Control Board. Additionally, you'll provide support to Engineering and Production teams, develop innovative design solutions, and use simulation software to optimize designs. Staying updated on industry trends and contributing to R&D efforts and technology roadmaps will also be key responsibilities.

Job Requirements:



  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience in non-recurring estimation and program management (scheduling, cost, quality).
  • Expertise in SolidWorks, MathCAD, Simulink, or similar engineering tools.
  • Extensive background in the design and development of hydraulic/pneumatic products.
  • Familiarity with DFMEA, VAVE, DFM, and requirements management.
  • Proficiency in hydraulic/pneumatic component sizing, design, and performance analysis.
  • Experience using stress and flow analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of testing, DAQ, instrumentation, and controls for hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with Design Verification and Validation standards (MIL-STD-810 & RTCA-DO-160).
  • Understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and post-processing techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and control software (e.g., LabView).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 10+ years in fluid controls, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and product design.
