JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State Psychological Clinic is seeking a full-time Staff Psychologist to provide various clinical services in a dynamic training and community mental health environment, as part of Penn State's top-rated clinical psychology doctoral training program. Full Penn State benefits are included. The clinic is among the largest associated with a doctoral training program in the United States and serves a dual purpose as the training and research site for the Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology, and a large community mental health center. The Psychological Clinic, located on Penn State's University Park Campus, provides psychological and psychiatric outpatient treatment and psychological and neuropsychological assessment for adults, families, adolescents, and children, as well as school- and community-based intervention programs. The Staff Psychologist will also provide clinical resident instruction for the Psychology Training Program and Psychological Clinic. This will involve the following key responsibilities:
The Staff Psychologist is expected to perform all services according to relevant ethical and professional standards of care, using evidence-based treatment approaches.

Education and Experience: This position will be filled as a Psychologist - Advanced Professional, which requires a minimum of a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and three years of relevant experience. Applicants must have completed an APA-accredited, pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology, and be licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Applicants who are in the final stages of completing the above requirements and will do so by the date of hire will also be considered. Experience with conducting assessments and providing evidence-based treatment is required; experience with any of the following is preferred: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), Transference-Focused Psychotherapy (TFP), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
