Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the polymer extrusion line, including setup and teardown, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and workflow.
  • Work with production personnel and R&D to ensure extruded tubing meets requirements and make necessary adjustments.
  • Provide guidance and assistance on extrusion processes and process characterization.
  • Collaborate with outside vendors to develop tooling and fixtures that produce high-quality products.
  • Manage raw extrusion materials to ensure traceability and prevent contamination.
  • Generate documentation on extrusion runs to control traceability and ensure reproducibility.
  • Write and execute process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Work with Research and Development, Marketing, Quality, and Manufacturing Departments during concept, prototyping, and release of new products.
  • Follow established procedures to maintain a clean and organized environment.
  • Oversee and develop the Extrusion Department.
  • Perform other assignments as needed.

Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in extrusion of medical-grade tubing.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  • At least 1 year of CAD design experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Proactive and takes initiative in extrusion projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $106,117.00 - $125,000.00 per year
