Join our team at Schriever Space Force Base as a Test Engineer Craftsman, supporting critical Upgraded Early Warning Radar (UEWR) systems. In this role, you will ensure radar system upgrades are rigorously tested and meet mission requirements, driving mission effectiveness in missile defense and space operations. Your contributions will play a direct role in safeguarding national security through technical precision and analysis.

Pay: $160,000 - $183,000

Essential Duties:

Test Data Analysis & Evaluation



  • Utilize MATLAB and JMP to parse test data and perform detailed analysis to determine system performance.
  • Research system mission parameters to develop test scope, including Critical Operational Issues and Measures of Effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement viable test methods, including live fire events, Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL), and digital simulations.


Test Planning & Execution



  • Develop and validate test plans, procedures, and evaluation reports to ensure all system upgrades are thoroughly tested.
  • Conduct dry runs to ensure data collection and analysis methods are accurate and effective.
  • Direct data collection activities, ensuring all evaluation objectives are met and test data is valid.


Reporting & Recommendations



  • Analyze and assess system performance using collected data and validated test methodologies.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, highlighting test results, issues, and system limitations.
  • Submit deficiency reports to identify performance gaps and recommend system improvements.


Collaboration & Feedback



  • Collaborate with team members to ensure test design, analysis, and reporting meet operational requirements.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on technical reports, planning documents, and final briefings.


Required Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of technical experience in test design, analysis, and test support in space operations systems or similar environments.
  • Extensive experience with test design and evaluation in operational environments.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and JMP for data analysis.
  • Strong background in test reporting and system performance evaluation.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of experience with Ground-Based Radar Missile Warning/Missile Defense systems (e.g., UEWR, EWR, Cobra Dane).
  • Familiarity with USAF and USSF test evaluation directives.
  • Background in Developmental or Operational Testing for radar or missile defense systems.
  • Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DoE) principles.
  • Experience with Counter Communications or Bounty Hunter Systems.


Education & Certification:



  • Master's degree in a related field, or additional years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.


Required Clearance:



  • Secret with ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI


Travel:



  • Travel requirements are TBD.
