We are seeking a visionary Creative Director who has managed and led creative teams. This role will lead our in-house "Creative Studio" design team, supporting three distinct business lines with unique brands including Zelle, Paze and Early Warning. This is a pivotal role that will blend creative leadership with strategic thinking to drive our visual brand identity and brand storytelling as we embark on a high-impact rebrand project.

Overall Purpose

The Creative Director serves as the creative lead for our in-house Creative Studio team, managing the entire creative process and leading a team of talented graphic designers. This position serves as the advocate for creative excellence, brand consistency and brand evolution. The Creative Director supports three distinct business lines and is a pivotal role that blends creative leadership with strategic thinking to drive our visual identity and brand storytelling.

Essential Functions

  • Leads, mentors, and inspires a high-performing team of creative talent, skilled at concepting and creating impactful graphic design assets.

  • Manages resources, timelines, budgets and priorities for the Creative Team, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality work, on time and within scope.

  • Drives operational efficiency and impactful creative solutions that align to business goals.

  • Acts as the bridge between the Creative Studio team and Marketing leadership.

  • Guides team and stakeholder discussions with a strong understanding of design principles and quality creative that aligns to business goals.

  • Fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration.

  • Conceptualizes, oversees and executes development of creative that meets exceptional standards of quality and originality, with a high level of thought and polish.

  • Delivers work that aligns to brand principles and business goals. Develops and executes creative strategies that align with business goals and brand identities.

  • Ensures consistency across all creative outputs, adhering to brand guidelines.

  • Oversees the creative process from start to finish and monitors the team's queue of work, ensuring clarity and alignment of stakeholder requirements, delivering high quality, impactful work while upholding SLAs.

  • Stays ahead of design trends, incorporating innovative processes and techniques into the team's work.

  • Leverages best practices across channels including social, digital display, email, web, animation, long form content, presentations, events, signage, photography, iconography, etc.

  • Collaborates with marketing, business line leaders and other stakeholders to produce impactful designs for campaigns, websites, email, and more.

  • Supports the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, visual arts, marketing or related field.

  • 10+ years of creative experience either in an agency or in-house setting.

  • Demonstrated people or team leadership experience with a focus on developing high-performing teams.

  • Proven success managing and mentoring creatives, with a focus on leadership and people development.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing creative direction and high quality, creative excellence across a variety of mediums.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to pitch the work, articulating creative ideas and strategies.

  • Expert level in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.

  • Experience with project management and workflow tools.

  • Drug screen and background check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in financial services or highly regulated industry.

  • Agency experience.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers. Employees must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The base pay scale for this position in:

Phoenix, AZ in USD per year is: $160,000 - $180,000.
New York, NY in USD per year is: $170,000 - $190,000.
Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
