Quality Improvement Program Advisor II

Location: Mariposa County, California; Merced County, California; Monterey County, California; San Benito County, California; Santa Cruz County, California

We have three opportunities to join the Alliance as a Quality Improvement Program Advisor II in the Quality Improvement and Population Health Department.

ABOUT THESE OPPORTUNITIES



  • Performance Improvement Team: We have 1 role open on the Performance Improvement team under the Quality Improvement and Population Health Department at the Alliance. The Performance Improvement team works closely with providers to improve quality of care and reduce health disparities. This available position utilizes data to support the Provider Partnerships program, conduct provider education, process improvement and perform other provider-facing work. This position also supports leadership with regulatory requirements.

    • The Ideal Candidate:

      • Experience partnering with providers in performance improvement work
      • Some healthcare data analysis experience
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on collaboration
      • Strong knowledge of process improvement principles






  • Quality Improvement and Population Health Team: We have 2 roles open on the Quality Improvement and Population Health team. These roles will support primary care providers, answer questions about the Alliance's pay-for-performance Care-Based Incentive (CBI) program, validate and investigate data for CBI measures and the Alliance's provider portal, create and present CBI program material, clinic-specific rates and best practices with providers clinics, support updates to program material, train clinics on related quality improvement resources, create reports, and support other QI projects as needed.

    • The Ideal Candidate:

      • Is data-oriented and has the ability to learn NCQA HEDIS measures and other QI measures
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on collaboration
      • Some healthcare data analysis experience







WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Reporting to a Quality Improvement Department Manager, these positions:



  • Support Quality Improvement (QI) and Population Health Department leadership and higher-level Quality Improvement Program Advisors with program administration
  • Conduct quality improvement studies and analyze data to evaluate the Alliance's performance
  • Analyze, develop and implement quality improvement activities to increase performance against national, state and regional benchmarks and definitions

  • Knowledge of:


    • The principles and practices of QI in a healthcare environment
    • The principles and methods of research methodology, statistical analysis and report design
    • The principles and practices of project management
    • Relational databases and data analysis


  • Ability to:

    • Plan, organize and lead data collection activities
    • Resolve complex analytical problems
    • Identify and define issues, analyze and interpret data, evaluate and synthesize a wide range of information, identify options and make recommendations for action
    • Write routine reports and provide analytical conclusions of data
    • Analyze and write process maps and work instructions


  • Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care, Data Science or a related field
    • A minimum of four years of experience performing or supporting quality/process improvement or project management activities, including a minimum of two years of experience performing QI activities in a health care environment (a Master's degree may substitute for two years of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be qualifying





OTHER INFORMATION



  • We are in a hybrid work environment and we anticipate that the interview process will take place remotely via Microsoft Teams.
  • While some staff may work full telecommuting schedules, attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings will be expected.
  • In-office or in-community presence may be required for some positions and is dependent on business need. Details about this can be reviewed during the interview process.



The full compensation range for this position is listed by location below.

The actual compensation for this role will be determined by our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications (direct or transferrable experience related to the position, education or training), as well as other factors (internal equity, market factors, and geographic location).

Zone 1 (Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz)
$76,625 - $122,616 USD
Zone 2 (Mariposa and Merced)
$69,729 - $111,571 USD

Available for all regular Alliance employees working more than 30 hours per week. Some benefits are available on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees. These benefits are unavailable to temporary employees while on an assignment with the Alliance.
