SUMMARY

The Executive Assistant provides administrative support to the Coroner and the Coroner leadership staff as needed.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the first point of contact for all interactions with the Coroner.
  • Coordinate and help schedule appointments for Coroner.
  • Provide logistical support for meetings, public engagements, and appointments.
  • Develop and organize meeting materials including PowerPoint presentations and talking points.
  • Organization and management of all written and verbal communications of the Coroner.
  • Respond to inquiries from other departments and external stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings with or for the Coroner, both internal and external;
  • Provide documentation and record of all meetings attended.
  • Development of announcements, meeting invites, and flyers, in collaboration with Communications, etc..
  • Format letters, memorandums, and reports from rough draft to final copy.
  • Screen and prioritize mail in conjunction with the Coroner, appropriate distribution, preparing response and acknowledgment.
  • Provide support to other Coroner Office Senior Leadership staff as needed.
  • Identify appropriate events, programs, and other opportunities.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special projects for the office and community.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong professional, administrative, and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good time management and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team creativity and strategically.
  • Expect occasional evening and weekend events and presentations.
