The Pennsylvania Governor's Office of General Counsel (OGC) is searching for a Legal Office Administrator 2 to join the Office of Chief Counsel (OCC) within the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Legal Office Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the docketing and managing of case files; supervising staff as they prepare pleadings to be filed; drafting correspondence; assisting attorneys in the preparation of cases for court or other tribunals; as well as ensuring contracts are properly prepared for execution. Within this role, you will serve as a procurement liaison for the OCC bureau, acquiring all goods or services from external sources. Work involves preparing budgets, analyzing expenditures, managing the purchasing card program, and ensuring licensure fees and dues are paid. You will have the opportunity to train administrative and clerical staff regarding the compilation of the annual budget, rebudget, and procurement processes. Additional responsibilities include:
- Acting as the human resource liaison
- Tracking vacancies
- Directly supervising staff responsible for personnel actions, procurement, IT, and budgetary actions
- Analyzing OCC clerical operations
- Developing training for staff on relevant policies
- Serving as Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) Coordinator

- Experience with procurement, including preparing contracts, agreements, and purchase orders
- The ability to independently handle matters of varying complexity.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week (anticipated). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Legal Office Administrator 1, OGC (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of professional administrative experience within a public or private legal office.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Supervisory experience
- Procurement Commonwealth experience
- Fiscal and Budget experience
