As aProduction Optimization Specialist,reporting to the Production Manager you will support production at the site through managing projects on productivity, problem solving and driving efficiencies.

This position is 100% on site based in our Devon site, in Florence, Kentucky.

Responsibilities:

Production Problem Resolution



  • Lead main production problem resolution initiatives.
  • Use necessary tools and other data sources to collect and analyze data and make fact-based decisions and recommendations on next steps.
  • Work with appropriate teams to resolve issues.
  • Report progress to key stakeholders.
  • Communicate lessons learned and share best practices across the site and region.
  • Ensure department completes action items as result of audits.


Project Support



  • Assist department managers with projects. Responsibilities may include working with project managers and sponsors on completing existing projects, such as, forecast accuracy, cycle time improvements, production efficiencies, 5S, and best practice implementation.
  • Participate in special project assignments and in interdepartmental teams as assigned.

Your professional profile requires:



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a flavor-related or batch process manufacturing environment
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
  • Technical background including an understanding of department's production process, processing equipment, products produced and basic product components.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Understanding of GMP, AIB and HACCP criteria.
  • Project management skills
