Full-time: 40 hours per week

Hybrid (on-site and virtual)

Summary:

The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.

The internship is with the Compensation team in HR, which is part of the Total Rewards & Operations department. The team is responsible for ensuring market-competitive compensation programs (base salary, salary ranges) that enable MaineHealth to attract and retain talent.

The intern will work across the 9 members of the Compensation team and be exposed to various aspects of the Compensation workflow, including possible projects supporting the compensation offer process, salary survey maintenance, job descriptions, and special pay programs.

Preference will be given to undergraduate students pursuing Human Resources, Business, or other related areas of study. Experience with excel, powerpoint, and project management is ideal.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate's Degree program, Bachelor's Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
