Material Handler

Position Summary

Perform duties to move frames and other materials through conveyor system. Pull specified components and prep for transport to appropriate department. May perform other duties/ special or non-routine assignments as instructed.

Critical Responsibilities:

1. Review ticket for specifications. Pull appropriate poly bundles then push frames on roller conveyor to next station.
2. Slides frames going to different departments down ramp and onto the floor.
3. Lift off frames that require additional components.
4. Assist with sorting and pulling legs to add to frame.
5. Use pneumatic staple gun to shoot a strap across to secure all parts for transport.
6. Use a straight knife to cut edge rope and place in frame.
7. May perform other duties/special or non-routine assignments as instructed.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• No experience necessary
• Ability to read and follow directions (verbal and written).
• Basic math skills: counting, adding, subtracting.
• Ability to use pneumatic staple gun and straight knife after training.
