JOB OVERVIEW:

This role will focus on the development of new growth opportunities and defining go-to-market strategies for specific products segments and applications. The position will manage cross-functional projects, working collaboratively across enterprises, geographies, and functions to lead pilot projects and business development efforts.

Successful candidates will be strategic thinkers with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They will have project management experience, particularly in commercial excellence initiatives, and be able to manage these projects from planning through to execution. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create compelling presentations and write effectively. The ability to build trust with key stakeholders and customers to collaborate across various commercial and functional areas is essential. A deep curiosity and drive to seize opportunities, along with business acumen and a passion for solving challenges using facts and data, are key qualities. Candidates should also demonstrate resiliency, with the ability to consolidate multiple perspectives into a unified vision and strategy for successful execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Global Ingredients Capabilities & Operations Framework (40%)

  • Develop go-to-market strategies for specific industries and product segments, identifying new growth opportunities.
  • Support sales teams in defining and promoting BDG's value proposition to customers.
  • Define key product/industry goals aligned with strategic objectives and prioritize tactics for execution.
  • Build strong collaborative partnerships across functions to launch new products and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of marketing plans and programs, including the creation of industry/product fact packs.
  • Identify market trends and consumer insights to enhance Blue Diamond's competitive position in the ingredient market.
  • Provide detailed internal analysis on the ingredient portfolio and product categories, identifying key growth or decline trends.
  • Drive competitive analysis utilizing market data and insights to assist sales in development of account plans and presentations, participating in key customer meetings.

Project Management & Execution (30%)

  • Provide project management consulting and execution support to enhance business capabilities across the organization in alignment with the GID capabilities and operations framework.
  • Lead and support pilot projects related to business development, go-to-market strategy, technical sales enablement, and other commercial operations priorities.
  • Assist in the valuation, prioritization, and implementation of commercial enablement and transformation projects within the ingredient's portfolio.

Customer-Backed, Data-Driven Champion (20%)

  • Leverage research tools such as Mintel, Euromonitor, and IRI to drive data-informed go-to-market strategies and identify opportunities for disruption and innovation.
  • Use competitive intelligence to identify business opportunities and promote a data-driven, decision-making culture.
  • Facilitate customer insight generation and formalize feedback processes to support growth and strategic planning.

Accelerated Continuous Improvement (10%)

  • Maintain a mindset focused on continuous improvement within the GID capabilities and operations framework.
  • Partner with commercial leaders, sales, and stakeholders to measure the effectiveness of executed strategies.
  • Lead the utilization of tools within the GID framework to assess maturity across people, processes, and data.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Strategy
  • 5 years of brand marketing, project management, strategy, commercial excellence or product marketing experience.
  • Food industry experience a must
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and effectively navigate the organization
  • Excel - Advanced proficiency in the use of Excel for doing analysis, creating spreadsheets and graphs.
  • PowerPoint - Commands above average expertise in the use of PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES

  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Skilled in executing detailed processes while maintaining a high level of organization.
  • Experience working with Word Press database and Mail Chimp.
