Job Overview

The Director EQS Parts & Remanufacturing oversees the strategic and operational aspects of parts inventory management, remanufacturing operations, and the distribution of equipment across multiple facilities and market units. This role drives business outcomes by creating and implementing strategies that optimize cost efficiency, improve quality, and enhance operational performance.

This position leads diverse, cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and customer focus. By collaborating with internal partners such as sales, marketing, and operations, as well as external partners, the Director ensures the seamless integration of parts management and remanufacturing efforts across the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution comprehensive strategies for the entire lifecycle of parts inventory, from procurement to distribution, ensuring cost efficiency and optimal ROI.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to optimize parts usage, reduce travel time, and enhance labor efficiency across operations.
  • Assist in conducting cost-benefit analyses to determine the most financially efficient methods for providing reactive and installation services for Cold Drink Equipment (CDE).
  • Lead the reconditioning of company parts and assets, ensuring all equipment meets or exceeds "like-new" quality standards while adhering to safety, operational, and company policies.
  • Evaluate and act on data-driven insights from key business indicators (KBI) to improve performance metrics across equipment services and remanufacturing operations.
  • Monitor adherence to quality assurance standards in the remanufacturing process, including inspection protocols and facility compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders in sales, marketing, and customer management to align remanufacturing and parts strategies with business goals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and equipment, while also maintaining strong relationships with our customers both internal and external.
  • Conduct regular operational reviews with Market Unit Directors addressing updates, opportunities, and developing actionable plans to meet business objectives.
  • Manage Profit & Loss (P&L) for parts and remanufacturing operations, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
  • Assist in the development and management of budgets, policies, and procedures to support operational goals and organizational infrastructure.
  • Direct and motivate a team of managers and employees across multiple facilities to achieve performance objectives.
  • Foster a culture of servant leadership, customer focus, and continuous improvement by providing coaching, training, and development opportunities.
  • Communicate company goals, safety practices, and deadlines clearly to all team members.
  • Implement performance management processes to ensure accountability and employee engagement.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills with an emphasis on time management
  • Expertise in inventory management systems, supply chain planning, and warehouse operations, including SAP
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with Cold Drink Equipment (CDE) such as vending machines, fountains, refrigeration units, ice machines, and filtration systems, along with parts that support
  • Proven ability to analyze and improve operational workflows, balancing quality, safety, and cost efficiency
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or up to three (3) years of college or technical school
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management, remanufacturing, logistics, or warehouse operations. Knowledge acquired through work experience would be acceptable in lieu of formal education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Inventory Management, or Supply Chain Planning
  • Four-year degree preferred or five (5) to seven (7) years related experience
  • Experience with inventory systems and advanced P&L management
  • Demonstrated experience in leading or managing cross-functional teams

Work Environment

  • This role operates primarily in an office setting but requires regular travel (40-50%) to regional facilities, operational centers, and partner sites.
