RBC's Office of the US CIO is responsible for the oversight of US technology supporting the firm's Combined US Operations (CUSO). The CUSO includes Capital Markets, Wealth Management, City National Bank, RBC Bank (US), Global Asset Management (GAM), and Functions within the US.

What Will You Do?

We are seeking an experienced Sr Data Engineer to support the development and maintenance of analytics solutions for the CUSO IT Intergroup Agreement (IGA) Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines, architectures, and tools to measure, monitor, and report on KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), KRIs (Key Risk Indicators), and KCIs (Key Control Indicators) for IT IGA. The ideal candidate will have end-to-end coding skills, experience with dashboarding tools, and a strong understanding of IT services across ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework.

  • Design, develop, and implement data pipelines and architectures to support IT IGA analytics.

  • Develop and maintain data models, databases, and data warehouses to store and manage IT IGA data.

  • Create data visualizations and dashboards to measure, monitor, and report on KPIs, KRIs, and KCIs for IT IGA

  • Develop and implement data quality checks and data validation processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Collaborate with IT IGA stakeholders to identify and prioritize analytics requirements.

  • Develop and maintain documentation of data pipelines, architectures, and tools.

  • Ensure data security and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and implement automated testing and deployment scripts for data pipelines and architectures.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT IGA analytics with other systems and tools.

What Do You Need To Succeed?

Must have:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on analytics and data visualization

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala

  • Experience with data pipeline and architecture tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or AWS Glue

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js

  • Strong understanding of IT services across ITIL framework, including incident management, problem management, and change management.

  • Experience with data modeling, database design, and data warehousing.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex data and develop creative solutions.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.

The expected salary range for this particular position is $110,000-$190,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC's discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
