THE POSITION

As a Clerical Assistant 1, you will have a vital role in making sure that our guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience when they visit our state park. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

At Frances Slocum State Park, you will engage in a diverse range of clerical and public interaction tasks. Your responsibilities will encompass the management of all financial transactions from various income sources, including boat permits, group camping fees, concession payments, parking fines, dump station charges, pool fees, YMCA day camp fees, and other miscellaneous revenues. Additionally, you will handle the making, cancellation, and modification of camping site reservations, as well as register campers upon their arrival. Furthermore, you will undertake receptionist duties which involve welcoming visitors; providing general information about the park; distributing informational materials; guiding individuals to appropriate park areas; collecting information; and managing incoming telephone calls.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal, full-time position without benefits.
  • Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week - 7-day operation.
