We are Systems, LLCa leading manufacturer and designer of loading dock equipment. Wecontinue to GROW and are seeking a motivated team player to join our organization.

This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Lead the Management for the Daily Improvement (MDI) process for the production unit in order to control systems and monitor budget, and (ii) Direct and coordinate daily operations of assigned area to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements. Requires 5+ years of manufacturing leadership (direct or indirect) experience within operations and a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.

Production Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Management for the Daily Improvement (MDI) process for the production unit in order to control systems and monitor budget
  • Direct and coordinate daily operations of assigned area to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate KPIs for the production unit; identify needs and ensure continuous improvement through the use of Lean 6S manufacturing tools
  • Ensure the deployment of the manufacturing operating system to increase productivity and enhance performance
  • Lead the area core team in order to solve tactical problems and define the strategic plan for the production unit across a cross-functional team
  • Work in coordination with the area core team to identify new capacity and capability needs through the implementation of new technologies and process improvements
  • Identify training needs and ensure proper education is delivered to team; identify talent pipelines
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's and Systems' reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company's policies
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CGI mission, vision and values.

Production Manager Job Requirements:

  • Education/Certifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience:
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership (direct or indirect) experience within operations
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Data collection and analysis skills
    • Project management skills
    • Working knowledge of manufacturing safety and quality systems
    • Working Knowledge and Application of Lean Manufacturing, DFM, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Total Cost of Ownership
    • Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a matrix environment
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Demonstrated proficient interpersonal, listening and negotiation skills
    • Working knowledge of ERP systems"
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electronics Engineering
  • Advanced degree in Engineering or Management
  • 6S Green Belt

The pay range for this position is $76,900-$125,500; base payoffered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefit
