Mission Critical Facility UPS & Electrical Project Lead

The position will require travel to job sites within the continental United States with stays lasting up to several days/weeks.

Onsite, Tampa, FL

The position requires fundamental knowledge of power systems and industry standards and the ability to provide oversight and guidance to sub-contractors including electricians, mechanical contractors, fire protection contractors, battery installers, riggers, carpenters, and other trades common to the mission critical facility industry.

  • The candidate will be required to forge solid and meaningful relationships with the firm's customers, facility managers, partners and vendors.
  • Coordinate with project team and subcontractors for execution of contracts; oversee personnel and quality control, profitability, and professionalism in the completion of projects.
  • Liaison with general contractors, subcontractors, internal sales team and internal project team.
  • Create project schedules to include eqpt delivery, electrical subcontractor efforts and startup/testing activities.
  • Maintain weekly schedules for projects to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Coordinate onsite efforts to include directing and organizing electrical subcontractor work, responding to field issues and ensuring applicable codes and regulations are followed
  • Document issues and/or risks that will have an impact on the project schedule or quality of work, and develop alternate solutions to resolve any issues or mitigate identified risks.
  • Review proposals and plans to ensure accurate pricing and gaps in the scope of work.
  • Plan and supervise onsite startup and/or commissioning of company supplied equipment.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
