Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Technical Lead in the R&D of microbial control technologies for water treatment processes. The successful candidate will focus on the development of innovative solutions for water treatment across utility water, paper processing, and food and beverage applications. The key responsibilities include:

  • Research & Development: Plan and conduct product and process research related to the development of microbial control technologies tailored for water treatment systems.

  • Technical Leadership: Function as the technical lead in one or more R&D programs, providing guidance and leadership to the team. Develop creative and novel solutions to complex, multidisciplinary problems that may have no precedent.

  • Genetic Engineering & Molecular Biology Expertise: Provide specialized technical guidance in genetic engineering, molecular biology, and microbial physiology to support R&D initiatives.

  • Data Interpretation: Prepare detailed technical reports with independent interpretation of experimental data and research findings.

  • Project Management: Coordinate external resources (e.g., contractors, consultants, and academic partners) related to specific research projects or requests.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and direct the work of professional researchers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to meet project goals and timelines.

  • Mentorship: Serve as a mentor and technical resource to junior team members, as well as support applications and field sales associates in understanding and deploying new technologies.

Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. in an appropriate scientific discipline, such as genetic engineering, molecular biology, or microbial physiology.

  • Demonstrated expertise in genetic engineering, molecular biology, and microbial physiology, particularly in the context of water treatment processes.

  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment, bringing both leadership and collaboration to solve scientific challenges.

  • Experience with statistical analysis, design of experiments (DOE), and process simulation techniques.

  • Ability to develop innovative, novel technologies that address complex challenges in microbial control, with a track record of successful problem-solving and creativity in a research environment.
