Job Description

In this role, you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the ForagerOne mentor-student database, ensuring it becomes a vital tool in fostering meaningful research collaborations between students and faculty. Your work will directly impact the accessibility and visibility of research opportunities, empowering students to find mentors who align with their academic and career aspirations. By driving engagement through outreach and training, refining project strategies based on data insights, and facilitating seamless collaboration between departments, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of undergraduate research at MU. Your leadership in this project will not only optimize its success but also contribute to a culture of mentorship and innovation across the university.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including faculty and students.
  • Organize and lead outreach initiatives, stakeholder meetings, and training sessions.
  • Develop outreach and training materials in collaboration with ForagerOne staff.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, including timelines and milestones, to ensure timely execution.
  • Monitor project progress, make adjustments as needed, and ensure alignment with deadlines and goals.
  • Work closely with student support staff, academic units, and campus communicators to maximize engagement.
  • Establish metrics for success, generate reports, and analyze data to inform strategy.
  • Troubleshoot technical and non-technical issues with the support of MU IT staff and ForagerOne staff.
  • Advocate for undergraduate research and contribute to student-centered learning and development.
Shift

8AM-5PM Monday-Friday

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with standard desktop and statistical software, including Excel and Qualtrics. Experience with PowerBI, or willingness to learn. Ability and desire to learn and use new software applications.
  • Well-developed verbal, written and visual communication skills, including the ability to relay data issues in an organized and easily understandable manner. Effective presentation and training skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to promote an environment of shared success. Must be able to establish relationships with students, faculty, staff and administrators across campus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multi-faceted environment. Ability to work with many people with different levels of engagement in the project.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen orientation to detail and concern for accuracy, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to anticipate and recognize problems, employ problem solving skills, and follow through with appropriate solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills that are goal oriented.
  • Passion to facilitate student learning and development through engagement in the High Impact Practice of Undergraduate Research.
Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875.20 - $66,809.60 yearly

Grade: GGS-9E
