The Role and Team

From state-of-the-art construction projects to nutritious food and beverages, the Workplace Services team builds environments that keep Medallians feeling inspired and energized. We're a team of inquisitive and energetic professionals that are constantly searching for new ways to improve workplace efficiency and make Medallia a great place to come to work every day.

In this role you will be creating and maintaining our office environment while providing an exemplary level of service to all Medallians. As the Workplace Services, Senior Specialist you will oversee three core areas: impactful meetings and space, engaging events, and ad hoc administrative support for local executives.

You will be the creative and logistical force responsible for driving both employee engagement and customer events at our Northern Virginia/DC office. You are a proactive problem solver who has a passion for people.

THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE - CANDIDATES WILL BE EXPECTED TO SPEND TIME IN OUR NORTHERN VIRGINIA/DC AREA OFFICE EACH WEEK


Responsibilities

  • Manage vendors, host impactful meetings and events, and partner with property managers to ensure our spaces are built and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Manage the quality of food and service provided at the Medallia kitchens including achieving fantastic quality at low cost and maintaining high standards of hygiene and customer satisfaction.
  • Host thoughtful events that drive collaboration for our colleagues and connection for our customers.
  • Periodically provide support of administrative tasks including, but not limited to, organizing travel arrangements, preparing and processing expense reports, preparing itineraries and agendas.
  • Develop and maintain productive and professional working relationships with local Executives and broader Executive Admin team.
  • Partner with the global WPS team to ensure that standard operating procedures are being maintained and suggest ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Respond to Medallian requests and tickets efficiently, always keeping your focus on providing the best customer service possible.
  • Ensure that your operating expenses are within budget, partnering with your manager to review forecasts and actuals on a monthly basis.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate professional experience
  • 2 + years of experience overseeing operations in high-growth offices spaces or event planning experience in a high-volume, hospitality, restaurant or office environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of the event and meeting management process - conception to completion.
  • A creative, passionate, detail-oriented multi-tasker and self-starter.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate warmth, kindness and humor no matter the situation or interaction. You are always composed under pressure.
  • Highly organized, responsible, and trustworthy.
  • Ability to facilitate communication clearly and concisely in a courteous manner.

Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $60,800 - $92,000. Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline and combines all of the distinct labor markets within the US. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.
