Transaction Associate - Multifamily Real Estate

Job Summary
Fairfield is seeking a Transaction Associate to join our Transactions & Legal department. This role involves working closely with and supporting our transaction coordinators and attorneys in coordinating acquisitions, financing, and development transactions. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn about commercial real estate transaction processes, due diligence, and closings.

Location: With a hybrid work setup, applicants should reside within commuting distance of our corporate office in the Sorrento Valley area of San Diego, CA.

Reports to: Vice President and Director of Transactions

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist transaction coordinators with acquisition and financing processes for large multifamily properties.
  • Coordinate communications with internal associates and external consultants during the due diligence phase.
  • Review due diligence reports and coordinate with lenders and escrow/title officers.
  • Prepare for and facilitate closings.
  • Follow up on delegated assignments and track them to completion.
  • Coordinate the execution and delivery of closing documents and other contracts.
  • Support department members by preparing documents for signature and handling mailing, filing, printing, and scanning tasks.
  • Become familiar with Fairfield's information storage system and fulfill requests for stored information.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Notary certification (or willingness to obtain one).

Experience

  • 3+ years of corporate experience in a professional corporate setting is required.
  • Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners.
  • Background in supporting department members with administrative tasks.
  • Familiarity with information storage systems and fulfilling requests for stored information.

Estimated Rate of Pay:

$38.00- $42.00

This position is non-exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates.

The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any). In addition to base salary, Fairfield offers all full time associates the following, upon meeting eligibility requirements:

* Pay range is a calculation based on a midpoint price. Fairfield complies with all wage and hour laws, including minimum wage and salary exempt requirements.
