Drug and Alcohol Program Analyst

As a Drug and Alcohol Program Analyst, you will provide vital guidance and management of projects, grants, and other initiatives to prevent the misuse of substances. This position provides technical assistance to county level grantees and other stakeholders to help in the development and implementation of programs, policies, and activities to promote healthy youth development and prevent substance misuse. This includes the review and approval of grantees' prevention needs/resources assessments, plans, and evaluation reports.

You will have the opportunity to have a significant influence on the advancement of the prevention system within Pennsylvania. You will use critical thinking skills and a solution focused mindset to identify opportunities for improvement and address challenges. This professional works independently and is responsible for conducting in-depth analysis of information and issues to promote successful oversight and implementation of prevention grants and projects. Excellent interpersonal skills are imperative, as a primary focus of this position involves fostering collaborative relationships with stakeholders at the local and state level.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of professional experience in social service or human development programs including one year of program planning, developing, and monitoring experience of the same; and a bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
