Description

As a Manufacturing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing manufacturing operations across all shifts. Your mission is to maximize asset utilization, optimize staffing resources, and exceed safety, quality, and productivity Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You'll oversee multiple functional areas, including production, chem mix, sanitation, and operations training, while maintaining a strong focus on environmental impact and quality standards.

Essential Accountabilities:



  • Provide overall leadership for the operation of assigned assets, with a focus on maintaining a safe work culture, zero injuries, and zero environmental impact.
  • Ensure that all products meet customer requirements, specifications, and quality standards in alignment with Rockline's quality management systems and regulatory guidelines.
  • Utilize the Rockline Operating System, develop and support metrics, KPIs, and scorecards to ensure performance targets and strategic objectives are met.
  • Accountable for continuous improvement in asset performance, safety, quality, and cost reduction (productivity and waste).
  • Develop standard rates for output, staffing, and rates for all manufacturing assets annually.
  • Support cost quoting for new products by providing rates, required staffing, and asset allocation, while identifying and eliminating potential manufacturing roadblocks.
  • Analyze and assess manufacturing performance and trends, allocating resources and assigning projects to address manufacturing challenges effectively.
  • Promote continuous improvement activities related to equipment, process optimization, and staffing with the team.
  • Collaborate with external departments (Planning & Scheduling, Purchasing, Tech Support, Quality, Global Engineering, etc.) to meet customer expectations and business performance goals.
  • Ensure customer expectations are understood and met by all members of the Manufacturing Team, leading or participating in customer tours and audits.
  • Lead and participate in the selection and development of new manufacturing associates to build teams that deliver manufacturing excellence.
  • Support the creation and adherence to the manufacturing budget, including monthly variance reviews.

Qualification Requirements: To excel in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:



  • Internal Candidates:

    • Bachelor's Degree OR within 12 months of completing a bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering, supply chain, operations management, or business.
    • 4 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience with 2 years of supervisory leadership or demonstrated cross-functional leadership experience.


  • External Candidates:

    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in operations, engineering, supply chain, operations management, or business.
    • 6 years of manufacturing or manufacturing support experience with 4 years of supervisory leadership.


  • Ability to analyze and present large amounts of manufacturing data, develop effective corrective actions, implement solutions, and reinforce through accountability.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
