Summary of Position:
The role focuses on improving the company's product lines using Lean Six Sigma and OEE principles to enhance availability, performance, and quality. The individual is responsible for defining and optimizing software and hardware testing/release processes, ensuring compliance with development standards, and leading a team through product design and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee PLC programming, electrical/controls support, and hardware/software design processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to meet availability, performance, and quality goals.
  • Assign project resources, manage testing plans, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure proper system design, integration, and issue resolution; develop monitoring and recovery tools.
  • Provide technical leadership and maintain high-quality design and development environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project scope, timelines, and documentation standards.
  • Manage team performance, recruitment, and development; ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Influence project stakeholders, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery within budget.
  • Implement standards and processes to optimize the engineering project lifecycle.

Competencies:

  • Proficient in CAD, electrical design, PLC programming, and software development lifecycle.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to drive change and operational improvements.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management, IT operations, and server applications is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of CAD design software
  • Strong knowledge of electrical design including schematics and layouts
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, solid presentation skills, and proven ability to run effective meetings; comfortable interacting at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Six Sigma certification and project management experience are a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare automation is a plus
