The Role:

In this visible and exciting role, the Senior Manager, Revenue Strategy, will be responsible for the assessment and implementation of key strategic initiatives and new go-to-market strategies from a revenue recognition perspective. Reporting to the Sr Director of Revenue Strategy, this is a highly dynamic and collaborative role that requires problem solving skills, an innovation mindset, and the ability to balance agility and risk. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast paced and changing environment and working across many different functions within the business and within Finance. The successful applicant will have an in depth knowledge of a wide range of revenue recognition requirements (including SAAS, Software, Consumption models, etc), have a passion for risk management and process optimization strategies, , and an ability to understand end to end processes.

Your Impact:

  • Represent the Revenue Management team on both internal and company-wide transformational and/or strategic projects

  • Work cross-functionally with our Operational and Business Partners to implement new, strategic go-to-market initiatives

  • Review, assess and opine on complex partnership agreements from a US GAAP lens

  • Implement new and improve on existing processes designed to operationalize go-to-market strategies, all with an eye towards risk management

  • Perform technical accounting research and prepare related memos, presentations, etc

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 6-9+ years combined Big 4 and/or Industry finance experience

  • Proficient in ASC 606 and SOX accounting standards

  • Ability to read and assess complex contracts under US GAAP; ability to translate such contracts into an operational framework; ability to identify gaps in existing operational framework

  • Ability to form relationships with business partners and explain risk and US GAAP to non-finance individuals

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, fast growing company where adaptability is imperative

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to articulate verbally and in writing, willingness to appropriately debate difficult issues, ability to present to a cross-functional audience

  • Ability to quickly grasp company operations and business drivers

Experience/Skills Desired:

  • Proven experience in the high-tech industry

  • Experience using Salesforce, Revenue Management Software (RevPro) and Tableau

  • Experience in a deal support role, either operationally or from a compliance/approval perspective

  • Experience with project management

  • CPA

This role is hybrid and goes into the office 3 days per week.
