The EEG Team Lead Tech is responsible for the following:
- Assists the technical director in overseeing the technical staff and day to day operations of the EEG/LTM Laboratory and its' satellites.
- Checks/corrects errors by technical staff, and tracks workflows looking for improvements.
- Participates in continuous improvement efforts for the center.
- Tracks report turn around time and Billing processes for the center.
- Trains new employees and cross trains technical staff.
- Acts as an educational coordinator for the Hospital's Electroneurodiagnostic END Technology Program.
- Assists with editing Electroneurodiagnostic procedures.
- Performs END procedures including intraoperative monitoring when required and rotates through the on call work schedule.
- Maintains daily technical schedule for patient monitoring.
- Provides monthly technical stats to technical director.
- Maintains Laboratory equipment in working order and arrange for equipment repairs and services as needed.
- Maintains Lab equipment inventory and supplies.
- Makes recommendation and suggestions on capital equipment needs for budgeting purposes to Technical Director.
- Completes all assigned administrative duties promptly and accurately.
- Participates in scientific courses and meetings on local, regional and national basis related to the field of Electroneurodiagnostics providing input to the development of procedures and protocols of the Laboratory.
The EEG Tech Lead must have the following:
- Associates degree required
- 4 years of EEG experience
- CPR cert required
- Successful completion of national board examinations associated with practice administrated by the American Board of Registered EEG/EP Technologists ABRET or Board eligible. Registration by The American Board of Registration of EEG and EP Technologists, Inc. ABRET.
- Additionally, Certification in (Neurophysiologic) Long Term Monitoring (CLTM) by the ABRET is also preferred.
