Position Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Contracts Analyst II, to be an integral part of our dynamic Contracts Team supporting cutting-edge DoD contracts and other critical positions. This key position directly impacts Airbus U.S.'s commitment to support the warfighter and DoD customers, while learning about global political and international business practices.

Primary Responsibilities:

Analysis and Reporting 30%



  • Supporting Contract Managers with the daily prioritization of key deadlines and projects.
  • Ensuring various databases are kept current with contracts information and data (Salesforce, Sam.Gov, Costpoint)
  • Developing key metrics on performance to be used for presentation to executive leadership.
  • Update/maintain/develop key contracts processes, policies and procedures for AIRBUS U.S.
  • Participate in meetings, ensure accurate capture of tasks assigned and dissemination to the Contracts Team.
  • Support ongoing administrative tasks and reporting on GSA schedule.
  • Identify and make recommendations on process and procedure improvement and efficiency.



Contracts Management Support 35%



  • Prepare vital documents such as contract briefs, award announcements, non-disclosure agreements, contractor agreements, and close out documentation.
  • Non-disclosure agreements tracking and management.
  • Review contracts, subcontracts, modifications, bids, and invoices for accuracy and identify any potential risks.
  • Keep informed about Contracts Law and changes to any applicable federal requirements, regulations and industry trends.
  • Procurement support including purchase order preparation and execution management.



Proposal Development Support 30%



  • Support Contracts Managers in preparing proposal inputs, proof reading, and adherence to deadlines.
  • Develop key repositories and templates for use on multiple proposal efforts.
  • Prepare data assertions tables, required representations and certifications.

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, pre-law, or related discipline.



Experience:



  • 3+ years of experience with U.S. Government contract management or related higher education course work, including procurement planning, pre-award, price and cost analyses, and post-award and closeout in a government or government support role.
  • Experience researching, analyzing, and interpreting complex rules and regulations.
  • Familiarity with digital tools and solutions for business problems.



Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:



  • General knowledge of principles of U.S. Government contracts management including U.S. Government regulations (FAR/DFAR).
  • Experience in working on proposals for U.S. Government requirements and/or negotiation and contracts administration a plus.
  • Must be a team player, but also be comfortable working independently; to ensure projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Must have a high degree of integrity, team spirit, customer service, and high ethical standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management, and computer skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and keen eye for detail required.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. export regulations (ITAR/EAR) is a plus.



Technical Systems Proficiency:



  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with digital contract management tools such as Salesforce and Deltek is a plus



Travel Required:



  • 5% Domestic and International



Eligibility:



  • US citizenship is required



Clearance:



  • Must be eligible to obtain a US security clearance in the future.



Decision Making, Complexity:



  • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines and be adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable working with all levels across the company and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Make recommendations regarding contract type, provisions, risks, mitigations and flow downs to the Contracts Team.
