About the Program:

The 10-week Zayo Summer Internship Program is designed to cultivate the next generation of telecommunications professionals. Interns will gain meaningful, hands-on experience within a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative environment. Our goal is to empower, develop, and connect our interns while fostering fresh perspectives and ideas that will drive our organization forward.

Program Details:

  • Start Date: June 2025

  • Duration: 10 weeks

  • Location: Denver-based preferred, based on hiring team's needs.

Zayo is seeking an Intern Law Clerk to be primarily responsible for assisting the corporate legal team. The Intern Law Clerk will gain exposure to a variety of corporate contracts and their negotiation, as well as the various stages of litigation, including dispute resolution and discovery.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain broad legal experience including contract negotiation, management, and disputes.

  • Gain industry experience, robust knowledge of HR processes and procedures, an education in telecom, and understanding of Zayo's foundational role in broadband.

  • Strengthen critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.

  • Exposure to a variety of networking opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in handling legal disputes with customers and third parties.

  • Review customer and vendor contracts, including NDAs, IT vendor contracts, and real estate contracts.

  • Assist with smaller projects related to corporate governance, M&A and commercial contracting.

  • Assist on labor and employment law issues.

  • Research unique legal issues.

  • Generally support corporate legal group.

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have completed their sophomore year and be enrolled in a degree or certificate seeking program for the fall semester of 2025.

  • JD candidate.

  • Self-starter who takes initiative.

  • Ability to quickly learn systems and industry background to achieve efficient results.

Estimated base pay range: $30.00 - $35.00 USD/hour.
