Overview

The Payments, Product and Pricing team is looking for a senior technology manager to lead an engineering team responsible for Managing Products and Pricing Enterprise initiative. In this role, you will be responsible for the product development and will partner with stakeholders to strategize, enable and deliver Product and Pricing integrations with Cloud Native Core Banking Systems and partner with vendors.

To serve as owner and subject matter expert for an assigned area delivering a designated service to the organization. To provide forward-looking, industry perspective and is responsible for the full lifecycle of the respective service including defining Objectives, Roadmaps and Big Outcomes aligning with Enterprise-wide initiatives. Works independently with no supervision and serve as a mentor to Mangers. Partners with Vendor Management Office in contract analysis and competitive market assessment for vendor selection process. Provides actionable feedback to Resource and Vendor Managers to ensure expected performance to SLAs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to product engineering teams enabling the delivery of products, capabilities, and services leading to desired business value outcomes aligned to strategy
  • Partner with product leadership and stakeholders to define and execute business and technology strategy including business case and roadmap development driving delivery of products and capabilities aligned with organizational goals and priorities
  • Build and maintain relationships with business and technology leadership and stakeholders including external vendors
  • Prepare and manage annual "Change the Business" and "Run the Business" budgets in accordance with established variance targets
  • Establish measurable team Objectives and Key Results that align with broader organizational objectives
  • Develop workforce strategy; build and grow product delivery teams ensuring the appropriate resources and skills aligned to the long-term strategy and roadmap
  • Evaluate performance of direct reports including managers and individual contributors; facilitate meaningful coaching conversations on performance and development opportunities
  • Respond and adjust accordingly to industry, technology, operational, and organizational changes; assess new products and capabilities, technologies, and strategies, and ensure effective operational transition
  • Seek and drive thought leadership opportunities; provide perspectives on technology strategy and trends
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant industry regulations and standards, governance policies, best practices, business processes and technology used within related business areas to ensure compliance with policy, procedures, standards, and vendor contractual requirements
  • Perform benchmarking and trend analysis to drive continuous improvement and elevate portfolio / product team performance
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in Migrating legacy applications to Modern stack of technologies
  • Experience in Managing integrations with Core Modernization SaaS Vendors
  • Experience in Product and technology development team
  • Deep technical expertise in Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS); Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) ; Azure Kubernetes Service
  • Extensive experience in cloud native architectures and technologies (e.g. Containers, Continuous Integration and Delivery, API Management, B2B, B2C etc.)
  • Advanced skill in formulating a strategic vision and defining and implementing action plans to achieve strategic goals
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFE)
  • Experience in leading, guiding and coaching professional staff
  • Experience in resource allocation and management
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective in producing desired results and achieving goals and objectives
  • Experience in working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
  • Effective skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
  • Advanced skill relationship building, negotiation and facilitation skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Knowledge of NFCU operations, processes and procedures
  • Experience with agile delivery frameworks and Azure DevOps
  • Advanced knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, and/or a similar field
  • Experience of knowledge in managing teams

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
