Job Summary TYLin is seeking a passionate and experienced Aviation Civil Engineer to play a key role in shaping the future of airport infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer with 5-10 years of experience to lead and contribute to transformative airside and landside aviation projects. As a vital member of our team, you will take ownership of key design elements, guiding projects from planning to implementation. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of aviation projects, including airfield and roadway geometrics, paving, grading, drainage, and utilities design. Your expertise will help ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable airport operations, delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the aviation industry. Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the design and execution of complex aviation projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet regulatory and client expectations.

  • Develop production work plans, schedules, and budgets, keeping projects on track and within scope.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, serving as a technical expert on aviation airside and/or landside design projects.

  • Produce detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FAA, TSA, and other regulatory standards.

  • Assist Project Managers with the development of scopes and budgets for new task orders and project amendments.

  • Conduct calculations and analysis to optimize design solutions.

  • Prepare technical specifications, cost estimates, and project phasing and scheduling plans.

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams to drive project success.

  • Stay at the forefront of industry advancements and emerging technologies, contributing to TYLin's reputation for technical excellence and innovation.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of California (or ability to obtain).

  • 5-10 years of civil engineering experience, preferably in aviation-related projects.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

  • Strong understanding of FAA and TSA regulations, as well as AIP funding requirements.

  • Experience in cost estimating, project phasing, and scheduling.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive and client-focused mindset.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of$80,000 - $138,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
