Cyber Security Solutions Developer

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen AND an active DOE Q clearance.

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Solutions Developer to design, develop, and deploy secure software solutions. This role requires close collaboration with Project Engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver effective cybersecurity solutions while maintaining high technical standards and best practices.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Cyber Security Solutions Developer: $130,000 to $140,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Cyber Security Solutions Developer Responsibilities Include:



  • Work with Project Engineering teams and stakeholders to define, develop, and deliver secure software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including requirements, use cases, test plans, deployment processes, and release notes.
  • Design and implement custom software solutions aligned with project objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for solution design, development, and deployment.
  • Define and enforce software development and delivery processes.
  • Simulate, test, and troubleshoot systems to ensure they function as expected.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving CI/CD infrastructure and automated testing pipelines.
  • Utilize DevOps tools such as Ansible, Jira, Jenkins, Crucible, and Git to streamline deployments and automation.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure appropriate infrastructure is deployed and integrated.
  • Update designs based on Discrepancy Reports (DRs) and Change Requests (CRs) in coordination with the Automation team.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting milestones and deadlines.
  • Report statuses and updates to leadership.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned



Cyber Security Solutions Developer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or 4+ years of equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of experience, preferably in DevOps environments.
  • Experience leading various phases of software solution projects, particularly those requiring collaboration across development, engineering, and service domains.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools (Jira, Git, Jenkins, Ansible).
  • Expertise in software development best practices, design patterns, and modern programming languages (Java, Python, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Ruby, PERL, Bash, Node.js).
  • Experience developing web applications and working within agile project management frameworks.
  • Strong IT background, including networking fundamentals and system administration.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks, security best practices, and product security baselines.
  • Experience with automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack) for system builds and software deployment.
  • Proficient in Ansible, Puppet, and Git.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
