Position Summary

The HSC Financial Services office provides fiscal services
to the entire HSC Campus, including off-site departments. Our mission is to
provide prompt, accurate, courteous and professional services to meet all of
our customer's needs. Our customers range from students, staff, faculty, and
outside vendors and agencies.

HSC Financial Services is looking for a dynamic,
self-directed professional for the position of Accountant II. The ideal
candidate is a motivated self-starter who possesses a strong accounting
background and sponsored projects experience. The successful candidate must be
knowledgeable in financial reporting and systems, and possess strong
communication and problem-solving skills.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and successful completion of at least 12 credit hours of university-level accounting through intermediate accounting; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
  • CPA/CMA Certification or Master's degree in Accounting or
    Finance
  • Proficiency/Expertise: o In using databases for analysis o
    With GASB regulations and other federal and state governmental regulations

Experience with/in:

  • Restricted (sponsored projects)
    accounting
  • Training in, or experience with
    Banner Finance or a similar integrated system
  • Collection of accounts receivable
    o Professional accounting in large, private or public-sector environment
