Job Posting: Business Accountability Associate (Financial Crimes Operations)
Location: On-site, 5 days a week Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for full-time/permanent hire) Pay: Up to $31/hour (candidates at a lower rate may receive priority) Qualifications: Recent college graduates without direct professional experience Knowledge of financial crimes analysis or accounting/business from school Strong writing skills, research paper experience, and Excel proficiency Eagerness to work through transactions Preferred candidates from UTEP with strengths in writing and Excel Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, National Security & Intelligence Studies, or related field BSA/AML compliance experience and understanding of risk management principles Ability to evaluate and communicate risks effectively Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, data analysis) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to build partnerships and work across cultures Experience managing large and complex data sets Industry certifications (e.g., CAMS, AML/Sanctions Credential Program) Foreign language skills Job Description: We are seeking a Business Accountability Associate for our Financial Crimes Operations team. The Transactional Risk & Intelligence Group (TRIG) delivers actionable transactional analysis and intelligence reporting. The BAA will perform transactional reviews of trade finance customers and their letter of credit activity. Responsibilities: Conduct due diligence research on parties to letters of credit to determine commercial reasonableness Evaluate letters of credit for trade-based money laundering risks Analyze large data sets in Excel, focusing on geography, transactional values, volumes, and relational data Write observations and risk dispositions to help business partners understand customer behavior and manage risk Communicate findings and provide direction to managers and business partners *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.
